It stands on high ground between the River Don and the Water of Buchat, commanding a view down Strathdon to the east. A Z-shaped tower house built in 1590. It has survived remarkably intact, its ground floors can be explored with ease. Its last laird was a notable Jacobite.

Kinneff Old Church

On the site of the original church associated with one of the best known episodes in Scottish history.The romantic story of how Kinneff Old Kirk sheltered the Honours of Scotland, the Scottish Crown Jewels, is told and consequently the importance of the part it played in the fate of Scotland's future. The Trust was formed to ensure its continued maintenance and preservation for the benefit of the Nation.

12th Century Parish Church of St Mary's

Monymusk has been inhabited since the Stone Age. It was connected to Christianity in the 5th century and the parish church of St Mary's was once part of an Augustinian Priory (11th-16th century). In 1929 the church was restored to its original condition and it is now one of the finest parish churches in Scotland. The church houses the Monymusk Stone.

The Tolbooth Museum

The Maggie Law Maritime Museum
