Here at TMC, we know how important pets can be for a family. They deserve to be on holiday too, and taking them with you means you can still take care of them. No need to make extra arrangements for feeding or walking.
This is just one of many reasons why we offer pet friendly motorhome hire for all our models. That’s right – whichever leisure vehicle you choose, our team will make it suitable for pets if you desire. The number of pets we allow varies based on the size of the motorhome, but the maximum we allow is two medium sized dogs per motorhome.
Just as with hotel rooms, there is a one-off pet charge of £75.00. This is a singular payment that lasts for the full duration of your hire. It covers the extra valeting required for the motorhome, including a specialised steam clean to keep it spotless and odour free.

We’ll make it clear to you if you’ve chosen the pet friendly option, and we’ll also let you know when you pay the pet charge.

Benefits to TMC's Pet Friendly Motorhome Hire
TMC offers a complementary Camping and Caravanning Club membership with each motorhome hire. This can be hugely beneficial if you’re bringing a pet along for your holiday, as they have over 60 dog-friendly campsites across the UK. With the Club membership, you can get exclusive discounts on these campsites and their facilities. Plus, there’s no extra charge for bringing your dog.
Whilst all of our motorhomes have pet friendly options, there are different recommendations and benefits depending on which one you choose:
Marco Polo – The large rear lounge present here makes the Marco Polo one of the best pet-friendly options. There’s plenty of interior space for your pets to roam around in when you’re stationary, and plenty of places for everyone else in the family to sit and relax
Morgan, Lomond, Da Vinci, Tay – These four motorhomes are similar in size to the Marco Polo, and are also all 4-berth. This means there’s enough space for two medium sized dogs to be in the interior. They also all have large rear garage areas, which allow you to bring all the supplies your pet might need, alongside your own.
Ashton, Como – These two models are the smallest on the fleet, with the Ashton being a VW campervan, and the Como being a 2-berth compact motorhome. With this comes easy manoeuvrability when driving, but we only allow for one medium sized dog, or two smaller dogs with these two models.
How to Keep your Pet Safe in a Motorhome
Whilst we do our best to make bringing your pet as easy as possible, there are still some precautions you should take to make sure they are safe and enjoying the motorhome.
The most important of which is keeping your pet secure whilst the vehicle is moving. There are dedicated Isofix points in the dining area of each motorhome, which allow you to attach a harness and make sure they’re belted up like everyone else. Alternatively, you can use a cage to keep them safe.
What to Bring for your Pet on Holiday
When preparing your trip, don’t forget to take these essential supplies with you:
- Bowls for pet food and water
- Leads and harnesses
- Your pet's bed or cage
- Poo bags
- Any medications your pet requires
- A stake to attach your lead or harness to when outside
- Any pet toys to keep them occupied
A final couple of tips: it’s important to have regular stops on your journey to give your pet some fresh air and a break from travelling (this is important for any human passengers too!).
Also remember to never leave your pet alone on your holiday, both when they’re in the motorhome and outside exploring.

Whilst as mentioned, we do conduct specialised cleaning for each pet-friendly motorhome hire, there are still a few more rules you can follow to make sure the motorhome stays as clean and tidy as possible:
- Please keep your pet away from soft furnishings
- Do not allow more than two medium sized dogs in one motorhome
- Do not leave pets unattended in a motorhome
Our specialist facilities and dedicated valeting team allow all of our motorhomes to be pet friendly, and in a way which makes it as easy as possible for customers. Despite this, it’s still very important to be responsible for you own pet whilst on holiday, both in terms of its wellbeing, and with any damage it may cause to the motorhome.
Our Location and Open Days
TMC are located close to many travel hubs, including Manchester Airport, Manchester Piccadilly Train Station, and local public transport such as the Metrolink and Bee Network. Because of this, it’s easy to visit us when it’s time to hire. If you’re travelling to us by car, we’ll also happily take care of your vehicle for the duration of your hire, keeping it safe on our premises.
