Some information on the local culture is to only order cappuccinos in the morning, and it is uncommon for female guests to pour wine. When greeting friends and family you should kiss on both cheeks starting from the left, and when shaking hands women should also offer their hand first. It is expected that Italians arrive 15 to 30 minutes late to parties and dinners. Maintain eye contact when talking to someone and finally it is considered poor manners to behave intoxicated.
