What are the Terms & Conditions of hire?

Can I take the vehicle out of the UK?

Yes, but you need to take out our European insurance policy to ensure you are fully covered. Price is available on request.

Is there an age restriction?

Yes, you must be between 25 and 75 to hire a vehicle from freedhome.

Is there a mileage restriction?

No, freedhome has no millage restrictions as it’s included as part of our extras as standard policy!
Are you open Bank Holidays?

Yes, freedhome and Academy is open on Bank Holidays - we're shut on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day only.
Can I add additional drivers?

Yes (there is a charge for this service).

I cannot find my driving license, can I still hire?

Yes, we will need government issued ID (such as a passport) and will need to contact the DVLA to check your license details (there is a charge for this service).
The address on my license is not where I now live can I still hire?

Yes, you can as long as all your other ID (bills, etc etc) are dated within the last 3 months.
Are there any restrictions in reference to my license?

You may only have 6 points in total for speeding, for other's please call us and ask.

I am currently unemployed can I still hire?

No.

Is there a deposit to pay before I can hire?

Yes, there is a £750 deposit required on all rentals. This is refunded to you once the motorhome has been returned and checked for damage. Please ask us for more information.
Can I leave my car with you during the rental duration?

Of course, for your convenience you can leave your car with us whilst on holiday. We can even service or valet you car whilst your away! Please ask for more details.

Will we be shown how to use the motorhome before renting it?

As part of the hire conditions we will spend at least 1 hour with you to show you how everything works so that you are completely happy with all parts of this Swift Kon-tiki 669.

What if I need to contact someone in an emergency whilst I’m away?

We will supply you with a list of emergency numbers which you can contact so that you are assured that everything possible is done to help you in an emergency.

Can I bring my own DVD’s to watch whilst renting the motorhome?

Yes, of course.
