If you are travelling inside the UK during your hire, there are no millage restrictions as it’s included as part of our extras as standard policy!

If the vehicle is taken to the EU or any country outside of the UK, there will be a European excess mileage charge payable - Please enquire at the time of booking for more information.

No, Freedhome and Academy is closed on Bank Holidays - we're also shut on Sundays and key holidays including; Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day .

A driving licence must be produced at the time of vehicle collection. In the case of a UK photo card licence, both the card and the counterpart paper licence must be produced.

Drivers who passed their test after 1996 may be restricted on the weight of motorhome they are permitted to drive; please telephone to check. You'll need to make sure your driving licence has the right vehicle category for you to drive our Auto-Trail Frontier Delaware Hi Line Motorhome. You will need category C1 - With this category you can drive vehicles with a MAM (maximum authorised mass) over 3500 kilograms but less than 7500 kilograms with a trailer no heavier than 750 kilograms. To tow a heavier trailer you'll need category C1+E.

If you are visiting from abroad, your licence needs to be in English or an International driving permit needs to be presented with my national licence. You will only be permitted to hire a vehicle from Freedhome if you live within the European Union, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.

If, on arrival to collect the vehicle, your licence is unacceptable due to endorsements, defacement or incorrect vehicle categories, you understand that no monies will be refunded. 

Yes, there is a £1000 deposit required on all rentals. This is refunded to you once the motorhome has been returned and checked for damage. Please ask us for more information.

As part of the hire conditions we will spend at least 1 hour with you to show you how everything works so that you are completely happy with your chosen motorhome.

MPG can vary greatly with the capacity of vehicle engine, style and type of driving, size and shape of vehicle, direction of wind and even ambient temperature. However, on the combined cycle, 25-30MPG +/- 10% should be achievable.

Yes, if you live within the European Union, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand you are allowed to hire a vehicle from Freedhome.

Collision damage waiver is the insurance that will provide cover for damage to the rented vehicle. It excludes damage to certain commonly damaged areas of a vehicle such as tyres, wheels and windows - all these areas can be expensive to repair if damaged and it will be you the hirer that has to pay. We offer CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) for all of our motorhome hires, we charge £10.00 per day for UK hires and £15.00 per day for European hires, should you be involved in a road traffic accident and it was your fault then you would not have to pay the insurance excess of; £1000.00 for UK accidents & £1250.00 for European accidents, if you have paid for the CDW cover. Please tell us at the time of booking if you would like CDW cover included as part of your rental agreement.

There is a FREE collection and delivery service from Manchester airport with Freedhome. The transfer takes around 30 mins, please let us know at the time of booking if you would like to use this service.

There is also a payable UK Nationwide collection and delivery service - costs are cacluated on request.
